About Anthony I. Squillaro

I am a double board certified colorectal and general surgeon. I am fellowship trained and have advanced skills and interest in robotic colorectal surgery. I am the co-medical director of robotic surgery at Sutter California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. I have been fortunate to have trained at some of the most prestigious surgical programs in the country and bring clinical excellence in all aspects of abdominal surgery with advanced training in inflammatory bowel disease, transanal minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, and treatment of complex pelvic floor disorders. I am certified on the Intuitive DaVinci surgery platform. In addition to elective surgery, I provide provide acute care colorectal and general surgery services to patients.In addition to a clinical surgical career, I have been academically active in basic science and clinical research. I completed a masters of public health and and a post-doctoral fellowship. I have authored scientific manuscripts and book chapters and have given numerous talks at national societies’ meetings. I am a surgical educator and training the next generation of surgeons is an important passion of mine. I am currently volunteer clinical faculty at University of California San Francisco for general surgery residents.
