I am a Principal at Pierce Street Elementary School in Tupelo, MS and a former Principal at Houlka Attendance Center in Houlka, MS. I have an Ed.D. from Belhaven University. I have a Bachelor\'s Degree in Secondary Education - Social Studies from Mississippi State University and a Master\'s Degree in Educational Curriculum and Instruction - Social Studies from the University of Mississippi. I completed my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in School Administration at Mississippi State University and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in School Administration at Belhaven University. At Houlka Attendance Center, I have seen a graduation rate increase of 20%, awarding us the honor of fourth highest graduation rate in the state. During my time at Tupelo Middle School, I was nominated for Teacher of Distinction thrice and have successfully written and been awarded grants, including the AEE Founder\'s Grant and Mississippi Recycling Coalition Grant. I was named a Civil and Labor Rights History Teacher Fellow through Teaching for Change-Presented \"Life and Legacy of Medgar Evers\" at National Council for Social Studies in Fall 2016
