ABOUT ANTHONY FITZGERALD

I am a versatile and pragmatic ICT Service Professional with over 18 years’ ICT, Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) experience. As a SAM and ITAM specialist, I managed the ISO19770-1 International Standard on behalf of the public sector organisation Northwest Development Agency (NWDA), leading them to become the first in the world to pass a stage 1 documentation assessment. Since 2012, I have been utilising my skills as an ITAM Consultant for Trustmarque Solutions Limited (TMS), SHI International and now at SoftwareOne. During this time, I have worked globally to create SAM and ITAM Maturity Assessments which assesses customers SAM and ITAM policies and processes to provide opportunities for process improvement. I am also responsible for designing, documenting and implementing SAM and ITAM policies and processes for a wide range of customers in both the public and private sector.My ICT experience also covers Information Security, including leading NWDA to become the first public sector Regional Development Agency to achieve accreditation against ISO27001, Vendor and Contract Management, ICT Procurement, Financial Management, Change Management and Service Level Management. Outside of my role at TMS, I am a member of the UK SAM Working Group for ISO19770-1. The group is responsible for promoting and reviewing the standards impact and practicality within in the UK.
