Cybersecurity AdministratorThe Cybersecurity Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing the County’s information security and IT risk management programs to safeguard critical data and systems. This role ensures compliance with industry frameworks and local, state, and federal regulations, while continuously enhancing cybersecurity maturity and risk management practices.Key responsibilities include developing, updating, and enforcing IT security and privacy policies, assessing risks and vulnerabilities, and designing risk mitigation strategies. The Administrator monitors networks, systems, and email environments for threats, manages security software and hardware (including firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption solutions), and leads incident response efforts, including the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT).They implement and maintain security controls such as Palo Alto firewalls, SentinelOne, Cloudflare, Mimecast, and Cisco Umbrella, and manage security monitoring tools like Syslog, Splunk, and NetWrix. The role requires expertise in OS hardening (Windows/Linux), internet protocols (DNS, SMTP, LDAP), Microsoft 365 security, and email authentication technologies (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).The Cybersecurity Administrator develops and delivers security awareness training programs, tracks security metrics, prepares compliance and risk posture reports, and coordinates with law enforcement during incidents. They stay updated on emerging threats and best practices to ensure continuous improvement of the County’s cybersecurity posture.Key Skills and Tools:Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto), antivirus/malware protection (SentinelOne), centralized logging (Syslog, Splunk, NetWrix), and network monitoring.Familiarity with cybersecurity tools like Mimecast, Code42 (Incyder), ADAudit, Cloudflare, Cisco Umbrella, Duo Admin, Palo Alto Firewall, and Cyber Resilience.Management tools: Freshservice
