ABOUT ANTHONY DOCHERTY

Working in the Construction Industry I have gained all my experience and training while working towards Site Management level, in the last 3 years i have progressed to Project Manager which has involved working along side design team, giving them information from my experience to assist in designing / planing bespoke projects, i have also gained great knowledge and understanding commercially which help plan works which are cost effective while maintaining high quality standard, including health and safety. Training includes -NVQ Site Management, CSCS Site Management, First Aid, City in Guilds Confined Space Entry, Deep Excavation and Shuttering, CSCS Slinger/ Signaller, Cat and Genni, Environmental Management, DOMS Water and Hygiene. Previous project McEwan Hall, edinburgh University. Main contractor - Interserve, £24m My position of project manager involves working in hand with interserves site team to cost, plan, drive and deliver the construction of approx1200m2 floor space below ground concrete basement and waterproofing system, £2m external hard landscaping works, internally 4 new lift shafts, complete removal of existing basement floors and install new drainage system and concrete floor slab to one of the most prestigious buildings in Scotland. Experienced in- All Groundworks Deep Drainage, Concrete placing and finishing, kerbing, Block paving, Earth moving, Deep Excavation, Foundations, Membrane systems, road construction. Management- Working closely with main contractors and sub contractors to meet programmes while maintaining health and safety along with quality to a very high standard. Day to day includes - Briefings,Programs with weekly report, Plant on hire / off hire,Material take off, Costing / including projection profit loss and ordering off materials, Audits for health and safety, co-ordination meeting, RFI/ CVI, Read and up date drawings, problem solving to keep works moving forward and cost effective.
