ABOUT ANTHONY DEROSBY

I help clients achieve business objectives in the recruitment, hiring, transfer, and retention of international personnel. I lead a practice group providing immigration services for employers in a variety of industries (medicine, technology, education, manufacturing, recreation/tourism, forest products, financial institutions, energy). My group partners with human resources personnel, recruiters, and in-house counsel in obtaining temporary and permanent visas. We have a substantial background in all work-related visa classifications and I provide strategic guidance to clients at all stages of the employment relationship. I serve as general outside immigration counsel for more than a dozen health care organizations in New England, including Maine\'s largest health care organization, as well as health care organizations serving remote and rural HPSA/MUA communities. My group works with health care organizations, physician practices, and physicians to meet employment-related immigration needs. I have substantial experience in immigration-related compliance, investigations, and immigration due diligence for corporate transactions. I represent companies facing government investigations related to immigration compliance and allegations of unlawful employment of undocumented workers. Our US immigration practice is global, but due to our relatively close proximity to the Canadian border, we have substantial experience assisting businesses and business investors with US-Canadian business immigration needs.
