Previous experience in development and delivery of capital investment programmes, with specific skills in pre-contract financial management of Investment Plan projects. Post contract QS involvement is also required with the processing of interim valuations and site remeasurement to ensure schemes are on time and to budget. Previous duties included the financial management of each scheme from project inception,(producing bills of quantities, sending out tenders, tender analysis and compiling cost plan reports), during the project (processing interim valuations, cost checks) to project completion (agreeing final accounts).Current experience to date includes:• Sub-contract procurement and commercial management.• Prepare internal valuations to determine accurate cost reports.• Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts.• Preparation of documentation and the like for valuation, procurement or commercial administration.• Assisting and liaising with the buyers on materials procurement and buying opportunities.• To support the Senior QS in the management the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting.• Assist the Senior QS with subcontractor selection and ensure the chosen subcontractor has the appropriate order and information to carry out their work.• Measure progress (materials on site, plot tick lists), assist in submitting valuations, final accounts and retention release and monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner.• Process subcontractor requests for payment and issue of notices in line with the HGCRA.I recently graduated in July 2018 from Northumbria University with a 2:1 BSc Quantity Surveying (with honours) alongside continuing to obtain valuable on the job work experience and by also shadowing other team members and departments.
