I assist companies in many different industries with a broad range of state and local tax services. I consult with domestic and multinational businesses on proper corporate structuring, perform due diligence services, assist companies with the preparation of their financial statement income tax provision including the requirements of ASC 740 (FIN 48), and work extensively with businesses on the preparation of various state and local income, sales and use and gross receipt tax returns. I have substantial experience leading state and local tax engagements including planning, nexus studies, compliance, reverse audits, audit defense and controversy, claims for refunds and tax process automation projects. From an income/franchise tax perspective, I\'ve assisted clients on various multi-state tax controversy projects, tax diligence and structuring work, compliance and tax consulting projects. In my role as the Private Market Tax practice leader, I lead KPMG’s tax practices in its market outreach, technical expertise and client service efforts for private market, middle market and venture capital/emerging technology clients.
