ABOUT ANTHEA B.

I hold a Master of Architecture from the University of Waterloo and an undergraduate degree in Architecture specializing in Environmental Design from the University of Melbourne. My academic journey has also been enriched by practical experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Architecture, Engineering, and Business departments and an internship in Venice, Italy, in 2023, where I worked for the Canada Council for the Arts.In my recent role at the University of Waterloo, I supported instructors and assisted undergraduate students across various courses. I was responsible for grading students\' technical drawings, which included details of walls, roofs, and windows. Additionally, I guided business students in effectively communicating their ideas through impactful design iterations.Throughout my two years in the master\'s program, I held 6 teaching assistant positions, showcasing my strong organizational skills and commitment to learning for myself and others. I am passionate about working and learning daily and value building deep relationships with those around me.I have significantly enriched my university education by attending various conferences, notably those hosted by the Canadian Wood Council and the UIA World Congress for Architects. During these conferences, I engaged with a diverse range of speakers and industry experts who shared their innovative ideas and research. I attended numerous presentations and discussions focusing on sustainable architecture and strategies for addressing global challenges in the built environment. This exposure to the latest trends and practices in architecture has provided me with valuable insights and inspiration as I continue to pursue my future career in this dynamic field.
