I am a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan, a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist, educator, federally funded researcher, and AI Systems Architect. My work focuses on advancing digital cognitive assessments and applied AI to better understand cognitive outcomes and develop targeted interventions in chronic pain, aging, and neurodegenerative disease.My current research is supported by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) through a one-year pilot study developing AI-based assistive technologies to support activities of daily living in individuals with mild cognitive impairment and early Alzheimer’s disease, and by the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) through a five-year K23 career development award focused on cognitive dysfunction and brain mechanisms in chronic pain.As an NIH Workforce Development leader, I help shape the future of responsible AI in healthcare and research by building programs that train scientists, clinicians, and students to use emerging technologies effectively, ethically, and at scale.As founder of A2 Applied Intelligence (A2AI), I extend this mission beyond academia—helping organizations design intelligent workflows, agentic systems, and reproducible AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into clinical, research, and operational environments.I’m always open to connecting with researchers, clinicians, and innovators working at the intersection of neuroscience, data, and human performance.
