As an Implementation Intern with the Research-to-Policy Collaboration, I help bridge the gap between academic research and public policy by supporting partnerships that promote evidence-informed decision-making. My work includes facilitating needs assessments with state legislative offices to identify policy priorities in child welfare and substance, coordinating expert engagement with policymakers, and supporting efforts to quickly respond to legislative requests with timely evidence. I have helped to conduct outreach to state legislative offices to understand their priorities and help align those needs with relevant research.
