Utilizing Controls Theory and Optimization to contribute towards emerging energy solutions in the field of Smart Mobility. Working at Toyota R&D (through Infomatics Inc). Leading the activities over majority of project pipeline including literature survey, developing requirements, system integration, algorithm design and implementation, simulation, real time testing and validation. • Developed eco-drive speed controller and an integrated simulation framework for Connected and Automated vehicles (CAVs) which utilizes Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication to update the vehicle speed in urban cruising scenarios, thereby improving energy savings by reducing the jerks from speed profiles and minimizing stopping at intersections. • Lead controller design, algorithm development, system integration and simulation for multiple business scenarios centered around Vehicle Grid Integration (VGI)- including both front and behind the meter applications (such as Smart Fleet Charging, V1G, V2G), that monetize battery assets and maximize their overall utilization while addressing customer needs, societal and environmental concerns. • Currently leading Integrated Battery and Cabin Thermal Management Control development, and the overall system integration for BEV SIL (Software in the Loop) simulation. • Utilized Big Data and Cloud computing for data analytics and providing energy benefit estimates.
