I have 15+ years of work experience in building systems/platforms. In my current role, I am the sole architect for one the core system Pricing and Promotion (PnP) of Flipkart. During sale season it need to scale QPS of 1 Million.Architecture of PnP is based on core building blocks, which provide a modular platform, thereby allowing addition of business critical features like targeted offers, exchanges, payment based offers without major design changes. Horizontal scaling and Resiliency to fault is it\'s another key design aspect.PnP system internally consist 30+ components, each with a strong separation-of-concern and following single responsibility principle. Tech choices of these component was based on what fits well rather then familiarity, as a result there are 12+ different tech choices working in cohesionI am a problem solver at heart and love streamlining system architectures and taking them to the next level. Pricing and Promotion were earlier running on different systems and I had evangelised the need of unifying them and took the journey forward by architecting a building blocks based evolvable system which is future ready.My core skills are - Expertise in Scalable/Evolvable Distributed system design, Up to date with latest technology trends, Conceptual Understanding, Problem Solving.

   At Google Pay, I led the development of a system that processes millions of bill payments and recharges daily with high reliability and success rates.The system features multiple payment and fulfillment paths to ensure high redundancy and automatic switching of paths based on live monitoring. This ensures that GPay users can always recharge successfully.I also designed and developed an asynchronous state machine platform that allows application engineers to describe their problems as a graph. The platform then takes care of the reliable and timely execution of the state machine.This system currently generates timely reminders and payables for millions of recharge customers.Another industry-first feature was a Bills from SMS pure client-side solution. This highly secure and privacy-focused approach ensures that no SMS ever leaves the device.The system measures the quality of bill detection through de-identified funnel logs and learns templates for better bill detection via user SMS without sharing any SMS with the server.In contrast, all other major competitors currently send complete SMS data to the server, including private and financial SMS, to provide bills from SMS. They potentially use this SMS data mining for credit profiling and other unknown use cases.
