About Anshu Kedia

I have over 7 years of Work ex, of which I have spent 6 years in the creative energies of startups. I started my CA Internship in Sep, 2012 when I did not have a clear understanding of what CA is, except maybe, making Balance Sheets and paying Income Tax. During that time I also enrolled for CS course.During my internship I learned Accounting, Direct Taxes, Indirect Taxes, TDS, Transfer Pricing, Secretarial Compliance etc. During this period I also cleared my CS Executive Exams.Immediately after Internship I appeared for both CA Finals and CS Professional Exams. The exams which were a cake walk for me suddenly turned nightmarish. But with determination and a strong will I was able to clear CS Professional and thereafter CA Finals. I can now prefix either CA or CS. However, I prefer it as Anshu Kedia (CA, CS)I then moved to Bangalore and in Oct\' 2017 I joined Treebo, and there began my romance with startups.I started in Treebo as a Company Secreatry and soon took over taxes (a blessing of Government of India, as GST was a newly introduced). Over the period of next 6 month I found myself handling GST, TDS and other Regulatory Compliance. Thereafter, due to some changes in senior management in Finance Department, I started handling Auditors, a pending case of Merger with NCLT, interacting with the Investors and External Consultants and a team of 5.All this not only added to my professional growth but financial growth as well. I even got a sense of ownership when I was awarded with ESOP.All these made me understand and appreciate the dynamic nature of startup, the enthusiasm with which people create something. I also developed an understanding of the struggles and efforts being put to keep a business running.In Apr\' 20 I moved to Medlife and in my brief time here I have been given various problems to solve.Apart from improving my work skills and developing an expertise in Financial Reporting, Statutory Compliance, Taxation, MIS and Auditor handling, I learned even important skills of people management. My thinking horizon has expanded and is more holistic.
