ABOUT ANSHU SINGH
I bring a decade of experience in public policy, governance reform, and institutional capacity building, with a strong focus on working directly with government systems. My professional journey has spanned organizations such as the Gates Foundation, IDinsight, Evidence for Policy Design at the Harvard Kennedy School and Access Development Services where I’ve partnered closely with state and central governments to design and implement programs that strengthen state systems, enhance execution capacity, and embed performance-driven governance.I have led the development of strategic frameworks for state system reform, supported high-stakes government and philanthropic grant-making processes, and facilitated alignment across diverse stakeholders—including bureaucratic leadership, private sector partners, and philanthropic actors—to drive large-scale transformation in the public sector. My prior work on advancing financial inclusion also involved building multi-stakeholder platforms to expand access to financial services for underserved populations.I bring experience in leveraging digital public infrastructure and public goods—where relevant—as enablers of governance reform and improved service delivery, particularly in the context of strengthening state systems. I combine analytical rigor with a results-driven mindset and a deep commitment to collaborative problem-solving. I believe that durable systems change is possible when strategy, evidence, and long-term government partnerships come together meaningfully.I hold a Master’s degree in International Development and Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from Johns Hopkins University – SAIS, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from Clark University, with a year spent as a fully funded exchange scholar at the London School of Economics.
