Working on modernizing the excel based toolset to model Solar + Energy plants using python-based backend scripts. Brought the computation time for running optimizations from ~ 10 mins to ~30 seconds. • Supported the development engineering team in running the updated, python-based toolset• Lead the development of dispatch model for Solar + BESS + pumped hydro plants• Led the development of a thermal model to estimate battery temperature at each time step using basic laws of thermodynamics and heat transfer. Tested the estimates against operating data to validate the developed algorithm. Model now standard process for all future biddings.
