ABOUT ANOUSHKA SINGH SONGARA

Future advocate and a lifelong humanitarian with a flair for Entrepreneurship, I\'m a third-year BA LLB student with a dream of opening a forever-safe home for animals and old humans. The human psyche is one of my primary areas of interest hence it is one of the important reasons why I\'m pursuing law. William Landay, author of Defending Jacob quotes,\"In court, the thing we punish is the criminal intention-the mens rea, the guilty mind. There is an ancient rule: actus non facit reum nisi mens sit rea -the act does not create guilt unless the mind is also guilty\". My recent internship at my local Court has given me valuable insights into how the law works in the \'real\' world and that is something that I would like to change. My five-year plan includes saving lives, building my brand, and owning a Volvo.
