ABOUT ANOSH IRANI

As of Fall 2020, I have been attending the University of Texas at Dallas. At the moment, I am pursuing a major in Information Technology and Systems. Having just started college, I am trying to figure out where I want to end up for my career. Most importantly, I’d like to end up in a career I can enjoy for myself. Making money is always important, but if you’re making money doing something you don’t enjoy, then you’re putting the wrong priorities first. In the first semester at UT Dallas, I was a computer science major as I’ve always had an interest in working with technology. However, during that semester, it dawned on me that pure coding all the time isn’t what I want to do, and as a result, I’ve switched to my current major, Information Technology and Systems. I hope to be able to contribute to the technological world to the best of my ability, but at the same time, I don’t want to blindly do it without any interest or passion. I hope that through the ITS Business Program at UT Dallas, I can learn to work better with technology and at the same time help others with their issues and struggles. For me, a good career is one that makes enough money to live but, more importantly is one that I can attend to every day without regrets. I really hope that during my time at the university, I acquire enough knowledge to land a career that is both successful and engaging. I also hope that my career will be in a technological field as that’s my greatest interest at the moment. However, I’d also love to be able to work with people both in and out of technology. Regardless of where I end up later, I intend to make the most out of my college experience both academically and socially.
