About Ann Howell

Throughout my career I have done many things. At this moment, I am looking after global hiring assessments for Shell, doing a bit of leadership coaching and exploring the arena of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on consulting psychologists. I’m privileged to be able to make an impact in multiple places and at multiple levels. Through my corporate work, I help Shell and thousands of colleagues across the globe to hire the best people as we Power Progress in the energy transition. As a leadership coach, I get to work one on one with amazing clients and share their excitement when they experience a break-through. One unexpected area of expertise for me has become AI – especially looking at predictive AI in employment situations such as hiring assessments. In 2024, there will be more thinking, writing and work done on this topic!Prior to this moment, most of my career was spent in Talent Management Leadership roles in large companies running succession planning, performance management, learning, development planning, DEI, leadership development, assessments, coaching, and employee surveys. EducationAfter an undergraduate degree in psychology and history from Rice University, I completed a Master degree and a Doctorate in Industrial Organizational (I/O) Psychology from Michigan State University.I also hold an ACC certification from the International Coach Federation (ICF).
