Tapestry Farms is a nonprofit urban farm system that invests in refugees, reconnecting with and nourishing land so all may be abundantly fed.We work to eliminate barriers as refugees seek meaningful work, quality education and childcare, a safe and affordable home, accessible medical and mental health care, a caring community, and U.S. citizenship. We are building an urban farm system that will feed our community and offer refugees the opportunity to utilize their skills and talents to make a living wage at a compassionate employer.Our core values are:Accompaniment - We walk with refugees as they embark upon their new lives.Encouragement - We recognize, respect, and celebrate the gifts of refugees.Resourcefulness - We leverage resources to overcome the barriers refugees face.Humility - We have a lot to learn about the culture and experiences of refugees.Hope - We long for the day when resettled families find home once again.Our vision: Refugees and neighbors, flourishing together.
