ABOUT ANN MACKENZIE

Ann MacKenzie is an accomplished corporate director, Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), certified Corporate Director (ICD.D), holds a Masters in Electronic Commerce and recently received the ISACA Certification in Risk & Information Systems Control (CRISC). She has 15 plus years’ experience as a CEO in film financing, thought leadership and high performance computing (HPC) fields. An experienced Board, Audit, Pension, and Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee Chair, Ann provides comprehensive knowledge as a Corporate Director in the areas of financial and enterprise risk management, corporate strategy, transformational changes, corporate governance and CEO and board succession planning. Ann is a long standing member of the International Women’s Forum. A passion for technology and the internet has informed her education and career role decisions. She obtained a Master, Electronic Commerce (MEC) majoring in law early in her career to develop necessary foundational skills in the internet, E-Commerce and internet law. Ann applied what she learned through the MEC program to careers in media, innovation and technology research, and high performance computing. She has an entrepreneurial bias having built new corporations from the ground up including creating legislation, regulations, policies, procedures and raising capital. Throughout her career a core strength has been her ability to see beyond the numbers and build partnerships that drive results. Ann has extensive knowledge of governance through a successful career as a CEO, various board appointments and an ICD.D accreditation. She retired from full-time CEO work the end of 2019 to focus her efforts on board director opportunities.
