ABOUT ANN JOHNSON

Giving space for powerful community discussions certainly gets me out of bed in the morning. My work leads to opportunities for cross sector conversations in order to shape real inclusive societal, system and service change, whether it’s in the neighbourhood, workplace, or in the wider society. My fellowship from The School of Social Entrepreneurs and my work at Lloyds Bank Foundation has provided me with the skills of working through the causes, opportunities and solutions with a pragmatic view. Working with all those involved to make real and lasting change. As well as working with Lloyds Bank Foundation I deliver training and consultancy for Equality and Diversity UK, specializing in EDI in governance, delivering meaningful Equality Impact Assessments and in delivering on social inclusion. I also advise and deliver lectures on social care from a people in receipt of services perspective; this includes being an advisor to the HCPC, supporting ASYE programmes across Shropshire and Telford, visiting lecturer to Chester University, I have also had two guides published by the Open University Social Work Department on meaningful engagement with service users. My proudest moments have been; receiving a personal award (and lunch) from Gordon Ramsey for \'Making the World a Better Workplace\'; Receiving the Queens Award for Voluntary Service for our work at Forge Urban Revival and being asked to be part of a team creating groundbreaking work within Lloyds Bank Foundation. When I am not working, along with my daughter we buy and hope to sell lovely vintage, retro and all things interesting on a stall at Ludlow’s Antique and Collectors Sunday market - which never feels like work. Oh yes and I am a very independent wheelchair user.
