ABOUT ANNIKA TOMOOR
We need more Curiosity and Purity in the world. I\'m driven by the Curiosity for Designing innovative systems at the intersection of living and artificial systems. My thinking is deeply informed by nature as a systemic intelligence. Rather than treating sustainability as an trend or outcome, I explore biomimicry, computation and biological principles as drivers for circular, regenerative and resilient futures across the built and natural environment.I work at the intersection of design, foresight and systems thinking, shaping strategic direction where complexity, uncertainty and emerging futures meet.Intrapreneurial mindsetWith my roots in design and engineering, I focus on early stage innovation, opportunity discovery and the creation of new concepts, tools and innovation processes within complex organisational systems. At Arup, I contribute to advancing firm wide innovation by developing a systematic innovation approach, enabling front end ideation, activating knowledge networks and translating emerging technologies and signals into actionable strategic pathways. How are we collaborating within innovation ecosystems in the future? My intrinsic motivation is exploring how biomimicry and design can operate as a strategic interface between science, technology and strategy, enabling organisations to combine their data in novel, disruptive ways to truly change the world in the 21. century.
