About Annie Worford

I’m a well-traveled UI/UX Designer with a background in graphic design, creative writing, and the arts. As head designer and co-editor of two literary magazines, I curated an experience and guided users on a journey through our literary magazines. Now, I’m using those same visual and written storytelling skills to guide users through digital experiences. Coming from graphic design, I was initially more interested in UI design. But after exploring the spectrum of user interface design, user experience design, and product design, I found that I’m most interested in working across the entire product life cycle. Going beyond UI design allows me to dive deeper into the work, interview interesting users, and solve varied problems at different stages in the process. It’s more challenging, and more rewarding, and I love the autonomy and control it gives me over my own work. Currently, I’m working as a UX Designer at a fast-paced design agency.    I collaborate with a small team to rapidly create and iterate on 15+ screen functional prototypes from scratch in 5-day design sprints. I conduct deep domain and user research in biotech, health tech, fintech, and security ops to understand the problem statement. I communicate closely with clients to understand and interpret their vision, product domain, and feedback. I create, organize, and maintain design systems for faster wireframing.
