About Annie V.

Growing up as a low-income, first-generation woman of color, I find it essential to give back to the community that raised me. As such, I am drawn to mission driven organizations and people oriented roles. I aspire to continue to build spaces where individuals feel a sense of belonging as their authentic selves. I have worked to create equitable people practices for over a decade across the various roles I have held. I have worked in (and with) non-profit and early stage start-ups to build people programs geared towards recruiting and retaining diverse talent while scaling culture. I am on a journey to continue to challenge the status quo to make spaces more inclusive and equitable. Spaces where individuals feel they belong because only then do I believe we can benefit from the diversity most organizations hope to recruit.I am a multi-faceted professional with experience in people programs, project management, product management, internal communications, and change management. Aspiring to continue to challenge the status quo by creating inclusive, equitable, and just spaces where individuals can feel a sense of belonging in showing up as their authentic selves.
