From August 2025 - December 2025, I worked in foster care. Observing and assisting foster care staff in their daily responsibilities to gain practical experience in child welfare. Duties include shadowing case managers during home visits, court hearings, and family meetings; reviewing case files; learning documentation requirements; and participating in team meetings. From January 2026-May 2026 I am working with the maternity program assisting expecting mothers in crisis. My role involves case management, connecting pregnant women with essential resources and services while providing direct support within a safe house setting. Through this experience, I am developing skills in case management, advocacy, and trauma-informed care for vulnerable populations.
