A successful professional senior manager with extensive project and procurement experience gained within the defence, engineering and automotive sectors. Proactive with an innovative and logical approach to the challenges of profit improvement and margin control in the contracting environment. The majority of my career has been spent within the Prime Contractor role to Government customers (Defence and Education) with adherence to customer requirements achieved through pertinent flow down of contract conditions and statutory regulations. Focussed on achieving high quality results, with experience in the selection and management of national and international suppliers and subcontractors, utilising effective negotiation and innovative contracting solutions. I have experience of commodity management, identifying opportunities for synergy across the business including the development and implementation of commodity strategies. I am experienced in the total lifecycle process from bid/no bid strategy development and supplier sourcing through to contract completion and close-out. I am also a practitioner of and lead assessor in supplier development, working with the suppliers and internal subject matter experts to ensure suppliers have the right skills and capabilities to meet the specific business needs throughout the life of the project.
