About Annie Fowler
As Chief People Officer, I bring over 20 years of experience in healthcare talent acquisition, development, communications, and employer branding. More importantly, I have a passion for fertilizing a culture that \"lifts up\" an organization, making people feel proud and grounded in their meaningful work while creating connections within a colleague community. Today, I drive all things human capital at Sound, transforming the talent management strategy, standing up Sound’s inclusivity program, establishing our colleague assistance fund (where I am a board member), developing a hybrid approach to return to office, and accelerating internal communications throughout the pandemic. I came to Sound in 2008 and moved progressively through roles to include executive recruitment by completing over 100 clinical and business executive searches helping to shape Sound’s transformative leadership team that still endures. In 2013, I became the Vice President of Physician Services, leading a team of more than 50 recruiters hiring clinicians per year and successfully integrating a team through a large competitor acquisition in 2014. Previously, I was the Senior Vice President of Operations at Phoenix Physicians, a national emergency medicine practice management group, where I managed all recruiting, staffing, and credentialing functions for over 100 programs. I recently completed the CHRO Executive Program through Wharton Business School, with an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration from James Madison University. I am a proud wife and mother of 3 kids and 2 bulldogs. I am an avid biker, skate skier, and paddle boarder living on the Puget Sound.
