About Annette Sebastian
I am a driven senior pursuing a Bachelor\'s degree in Operations and Information Management and Computer Science at UMass Amherst. I am intrigued by the potential for data and artificial intelligence to transform complex industries such as healthcare. My coursework challenges me and teaches me skills such as coding and database management which allow me to explore my interests. Along with my career interests, my extracurricular activities support my passion of creating a more diverse environment in business and STEM fields. As part of the Women of Isenberg Planning team, I encourage women and people of color to pursue their dreams in industries they may have thought were unreachable. Being part of the HackUMass Public Relations team gives me the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of people and inspire them to challenge themselves by taking part in the hackathon. Not only have these positions helped me pursue my passions, they have strengthened my leadership and collaboration skills as well.
