Two Rivers Press is a small independent publisher based in Reading, publishing around 10 poetry, art and local history books per year. I am the managing publisher, working closely with a small team, and fantastic authors and poets, to produce beautifully designed and well written books.

ABOUT ANNE NOLAN
I love independent publishing. I am Publisher at Two Rivers Press as well as working in a freelance capacity for independent scholarly publisher Arc Humanities Press. In 2022 I started a personal publishing project, Redden Press, which produces photo led pamphlets and micro books. I have wide books and publishing experience, having spent three years as a bookseller, 25 years in academic book publishing and 7 years working freelance and as a consultant with a special interest in small press publishing. I have worked at board level in marketing, sales, and production editorial roles, but enjoy the opportunity afforded by small press work of getting stuck into all areas of the publishing process and gaining practical hands-in experience of everything from metadata systems, to website development, to hand selling at events. I am always curious, open to new ideas, and happy to try out new things. I have extensive experience and connections in the publishing industry and a good knowledge of the book trade and the systems that underpin it. I regularly attend the London Book Fair, the Inpress Festival of Publishing, the IPG Spring and Autumn conferences, The Small Publishers Fair, BookMachine and the Galley Club.
