ABOUT ANNE JOLENE CUARESMA
Welcome to my LinkedIn page! I am currently a Master\'s in Nursing Candidate at the University of California, San Francisco. My pursuit of an advanced nursing degree is driven by my commitment to increase treatment adherence and expand disease prevention services in gerontological nursing. As a health advocate with an expansive knowledge of community and social services in the Bay Area, I believe older adults and geriatric patients can reverse lifelong habits despite socioeconomic and cultural barriers. As part of the Master’s Entry Program into Nursing, I aim to transform healthcare by leading research on chronic disease management, increasing access to interactive clinical programs, and advancing telehealth services for aging communities.Health equity is a key value in my work ethic. My background as a first-generation college student has given me a culturally sensitive perspective when engaging with a patient and my peers. I passionately advocate for all misrepresented populations through my team\'s publication,\"Optimal Health for All\" Report. To empower underrepresented youth, I have created a professional development curriculum for De Anza and Richmond High School students. I was a guest speaker for the youth as a Health Career Connection (HCC) alumni at Richmond High School in collaboration with the UC Berkeley\'s Director of Public Health, Jeff Oxendine, and a lead HCC coordinator, Alivia Shorter. To know more about my journey, please send me a message. I look forward to connecting with you!
