About Anne Hu
A former fine artist, Anne Hu got into film when she realized she thinks in stories rather than a single image. Fine-tuning her storytelling skills through trailer editing (her first job in the biz), she wrote, directed, and acted in her award-winning short films CAKE and LUNCHBOX, which screened at over 91 film festivals worldwide and won 28 awards collectively, including at Oscar-qualifying festivals.Her work has placed her in Netflix’s Series Director Development Program (2022), The Alice List (Female Filmmakers who Have Not Yet Directed a Feature 2020), and she shadowed director Marc Webb on Netflix’s “The Society.”Hu has worked as a Senior Editor for over 10 years, cutting trailers and promos for The Last of Us, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and more. Outside of film, she finds balance through hip-hop dance, cute puppy videos, and cycling.
