ABOUT ANNE EDMUNDS AGUIRRE
Passionate student-centered educator with nearly 30 years of college empowerment experience and graduate degrees in higher education administration. Involvement spans the student lifecycle from high school through college and graduate school. Believing that an educated citizenry is the key to the betterment of society, I advocate to reduce college degree attainment gaps by expanding college access for underserved populations. With a grandfather who was a university president and a father who taught in academic medicine, I am continuing my family’s legacy in education. In my work as a college empowerment professional, I continue to: foster critical thinking skills by encouraging students to make informed decisions about their life, develop relationships to help reduce silos and foster collaboration across the organization, and examine the processes and systems in place to identify opportunities for improvement.
