ABOUT ANNE WHITSEL
Anne Whitsel is an Architect (LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, Fitwel, LFA) in the HDR-Boston Architecture studio. She is an active member of the Boston design community and recently presented “The Winding Path of Boston’s Transportation Architecture” with her HDR colleagues at AIA25. Anne was awarded the Director’s Leadership Merit Award upon her graduation from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where she majored in Architecture and Minored in Environmental Engineering Science as a William H. and Elizabeth Gray Danforth Scholar. At HDR, she serves as the Boston office AIA 2030 reporting champion and as the Sustainability Stewards Program Team Lead. She was recently awarded Sustainability Steward of the Year for her contributions to the global program in 2024. Anne brings a passion for sustainable design, human health, and technical expertise to every project and is considered an essential part of project success on the Transportation and Civic Architecture teams at HDR.
