ABOUT ANNE STEWART SONENSHINE

I am a Managing Director in KPMG\'s Atlanta Mergers and Acquisitions (“M&A”) Tax practice serving companies that are both U.S. and foreign multinational taxpayers. As part of this practice, my focus is on tax due diligence and transaction structuring, as well as restructuring and change-in-control modeling.Prior to joining the M&A Tax practice with KPMG in 2022, I gained experience with PwC in its M&A Tax practice, as well as the Federal Tax Services and Specialized Tax Services practices, providing tax consulting, compliance, and provision services. In 2014, I was selected to attend a nine-month intensive training program with the PwC M&A Academy which ultimately led to my transition into the M&A Tax specialty practice. In 2016, I spent seven months on rotation to the Silicon Valley M&A specialty practice in San Jose where I focused on restructuring and tax planning for large multinational technology companies. I received my Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters in Professional Accounting with a tax concentration from the University of Texas at Austin. While at the University of Texas at Austin, I was selected as a member of the McCombs Leadership Program. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and licensed to practice in Georgia.
