About Anne Obrien

I came into the employee benefits world later in my career and what drew me to it is helping people. In recent years employee benefits has become confusing and expensive and I love helping companies figure it out and make it better. Employee benefits used to be something you offered and you didn’t give it much thought. Now the expense alone makes companies give their offerings a lot of thought. And if you’re going to spend a good bit of money on something you want it to work for you. You want your benefits to truly feel beneficial to the employees and help you attract and retain the best. My goals are simple: • Help clients find the best benefits within their budget • Work with them to keep their employees happy and healthy • Make the employee benefits run seamlessly for the employee and employer I have two other passions that are part of my life but fit in with my desire to help people. I am President of The Tyanna Barre O’Brien Breast Cancer Foundation, an all-volunteer organization focused on treatment and care of breast cancer patients. The Foundation was created to honor my mom who died of breast cancer in 1990 and is run by the five O’Brien sisters in six states. The Foundation’s flagship event, BreastFest has grown to over people in Baltimore and is held annually in October. Locally, The Tyanna Foundation supports The Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy. Health and wellness has also been a large part of my life. I am a group exercise instructor at the MAC, teaching pilates reformer and Body Pump classes and have taught group exercise classes since I was in college. Genetically I’m a couch potato so teaching has helped me stay healthy all these years! I truly admire the folks that come to my classes every week without it being part of their work schedule.
