Senior IT professional with considerable experience in the public sector. I have particular skills in strategic leadership, focusing on cross functional collaboration to align technical and business delivery, and in the design and delivery of assurance services. I served as head of IT Strategy for the Scottish Executive before becoming the Scottish Government\'s CTO and then its CIO for fourteen years. I have significant experience at board level, working with central and local government, and chairing cross sectoral groups delivering both technical and strategic initiatives.
