The Mass Timber Institute is an ambitious and unique public-private collaboration focused on ground-breaking research, development, teaching, and training regarding mass timber tall wood buildings. Research themes include forestry, engineering, architecture, design, and building & construction.The partnership is co-led by the University of Toronto and George Brown College. Lakehead University, Laurentian University, and the University of Ottawa are academic partners. The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry, Natural Resources Canada, FPInnovations, and Wood WORKS are public- and private-sector partners to the Institute.
