About Anne Brachman

As director of the Smithsonian Institution\'s Office of Government Relations, I lead a team in promoting and strengthening the Smithsonian’s relationship with Congress, the executive branch and federal, state and local governments. With more than 20 years’ experience in government and congressional relations, I have built strong relationships with policymakers and mission-aligned partners to achieve the funding and policy needs of some of America\'s most iconic and beloved institutions. Some of my achievements include helping secure multiple appropriations increases, facilitating bipartisan support, and growing my organization\'s reputation as a strong steward of taxpayer dollars among key audiences. I have a proven track record of applying my analytical, corporate communications, and management skills to deliver results and solutions that benefit the American people.
