Conducted design research and design implementation as a part of four human spaceflight, aerospace, and space industry emergence research grants within commercial-acedamic knowledge transfer. Written and planned two successful research grant proposals with NASA Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP), and conducted design research work for two Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) grants funded by Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation (COE CST).NASA STTR - July 2022 - ongoingCurrently leading design research in the design for health and safety within the NASA STTR funded project focused on the implementation of future medical systems for commercial human spaceflight. Lead design research and development of ExMEDI - Exploration Medical Ecosystem Medical Infrastructure - is a Cyber-Physical-Human (CPH) medical ecosystem that will support the health, medical autonomy, and decision-making of crews during future exploration missions by integrating trust into critical space systems, in collaboration with NYRAD Innovative Engineering.FAA - Jan 2022 - August 2022Task 395. Small Launch Vehicle Sector (SLVS)Research funded by the Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation (COE CST)ACRP - September 2021 - May 2022Invited grant application - Next Step Award for the development of the FlyKey system, focusing on design and implementation of innovatiove airport-passenger interaction contactless interfaces enabling future health and safety in air travel.Research funded by the (ACRP) the Transportation Research Board (TRB) and NASA Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program.FAA - January 2021 - August 2021TASK 398.
