About Anna Rice Gatz
I’m a Biochemist and Quality leader who’s had success in Design Change management for human In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) as well as developing immunoassay diagnostics in the veterinary realm. I\'ve led new product development teams to move products from concept to market and ensured successful product registrations from regulatory agencies. And I\'ve successfully implemented necessary product design changes to maintain compliant manufacture of IVD medical devices.My technical leadership spans reagent discovery, assay and platform design, product validation, and process development using six sigma techniques to yield optimized, manufacturable, quality diagnostic products. I am knowledgeable in both the technology and diagnostic targets of interest which helps bring quality FDA/USDA-licensed products to market. My recent work aids clinicians to accurately diagnose respiratory illnesses and agriculture producers to maintain the health and safety of their herds and crops meant for public consumption. I have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin and aspire to get back into Cancer Research again. My initial cancer research interests began as a post-doctoral fellow at Yale University Medical School under the direction of Dr. Alan Sartorelli studying the mechanisms of drug action in Leukemia model systems. I take pride in my scientific efforts to help keep the world safe and healthy, whether through the food they eat, the therapeutics they need, or the diagnostic answers that help guide treatment.
