About Anna Rego

Anna is the Policy & Programs Consultant for the Rockefeller Foundation. Before this, Anna Rego led the gender portfolio at J-PAL South Asia at IFMR. In this role, Anna worked with governments, foundations and NGOs to apply scientific evidence and in the scale-up of policies and programs to improve gender and health outcomes. Anna holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has studied public policy and liberal arts at postgraduate levels and trained as a journalist in my undergraduate degree in India. Anna has been part of the founding teams of two impact-driven, non-profit organizations where her responsibilities included talent recruitment and training; setting up an advisory board and establishing governance protocols and overseeing financial management (including donor relations). As an equity advocate, Anna volunteers her time providing academic and career guidance to young women. She also advise non-profits on organizational issues such as team management and crisis communications.
