   As a mother (and stepmom) of 6 kids, I\'m always thinking about how to keep my family safe. After there was an active shooter situation in my city, I wanted a fail-proof system to guarantee my children could lock the door and keep an intruder out of their classrooms. I shared my concerns with my inventor husband, and he went to work with his team of engineers and consultants to figure out a way we could keep our kids (and all kids) safer at school. We needed something so easy, a kindergartener could use it. Something uncomplicated, so people could remember it when their hearts were racing. Something obvious. Something easy. So we made the simplest, securest device on the planet: Flip Lok. And then we took it beyond the classroom. Flip Lok started as one mother’s solution to protect her children, and has since transformed to provide protection and peace of mind for Americans wherever they are – at school, at home, or in the office. We also donate a portion of our proceeds to help raise awareness, and improve education and in-school resources to protect the mental health of our children.
