About Anna Ananya Ramesh
I am a student at the University of Illinois Chicago, pursuing degrees in English and Political Science. I hold a 4.0 GPA and have been consistently recognized on the Dean’s List. My academic work spans legal research, political theory, and civic education, reflecting my dedication to both scholarship and public service. Outside academics, I am the founder of Accessing the Law, a nonprofit initiative designed to make legal education more accessible. Through interviews, mentorship, and resource-building, I work to connect aspiring law students with firsthand insights from legal professionals. I also lead Accessing the Law’s Student Law Review, a growing publication that simplifies complex legal developments for the general public. As Editor-in-Chief, I oversee a 50-person team across multiple legal disciplines including corporate, constitutional, and environmental law.My goal is to build tools and communities that break down barriers to the legal profession. I bring a strong foundation in research, writing, and leadership. I thrive in high-achieving academic environments and in public-facing roles where education and equity intersect. In my free time I enjoy volunteering, photography, and playing the cello.
