ABOUT ANNAMARIA SCACCIA
Hey y’all! I’m Annamaria Scaccia, a communications professional with over 15 years of experience in journalism and content strategy. I specialize in transforming complex research into accessible, engaging content that sparks conversations and drives impact. My passion is helping organizations shape thought leadership that positions them as industry leaders.But I am more than my communications expertise. I’m also a two-time cancer survivor, one-kidney bodybuilder, certified personal trainer, and nutrition coach. Diagnosed with chromophobe renal cell carcinoma in 2020 and papillary thyroid carcinoma in 2023, I use my personal journey to advocate for cancer survivors, raise awareness, and support research initiatives.I’m actively involved in the kidney cancer community, serving on the Kidney Cancer Association’s Patient and Caregiver Advisory Council and hosting its podcast, Kidney Cancer Unfiltered. I also serve on Kesem’s National Parent Committee and the advisory board for its UT-Austin chapter.I’m always open to collaborations, partnerships, and exploring opportunities that drive meaningful change.
