About Annalyn Bort

I’m a recent graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology, and I am passionate about mental health, child development, and building supportive spaces for younger children. My educational and career journey is deeply personal as I was diagnosed with autism at 22 months old and spent most of my early childhood in intensive therapy, guided by mentors and clinicians who helped me grow, communicate, and thrive as an individual in all settings.These experiences gave me more than just support, as they shaped my purpose in life to give back to well-needed communities and children. I hope to use the insight that I’ve gained to support children like my younger self and for those who may need a little extra patience, a safe space, or someone who simply sees their potential. I’ve volunteered and developed skills in emotional support, trauma-informed care, and strength-based mentoring with youth-focused mental health and educational organizations, providing over 150+ hours of service to teens across the country through Teen Talk and 7 Cups. In the long run, I hope to build a career in therapeutic and educational environments working with children, especially those who need a little extra patience and encouragement. By offering care, empathy, and understanding, I strive to give back to children and help them recognize the power and potential they already hold inside.

   Implemented behavior support plans for 2 elementary school children, achieving 80% of improvements in targeted behaviors- Conducted regular data collection sessions for each child; analyzed data trends to adapt strategies as needed- Collaborated with teachers, parents, and BCBAs to ensure alignment of intervention approaches at school.
