About Annalise Thorpe
Graduate of the University of Arkansas with a double major in Biochemistry and History. As a lover of both the arts and sciences, my academic journey has equipped me with a diverse perspective and a strong foundation in research, critical thinking, and technical problem-solving.I currently support environmental initiatives in Butte County through my work with the Butte County Department of Water and Resource Conservation. My role involves assisting water scientists, organizing and interpreting environmental data, and contributing to projects focused on sustainable land and water management across the region.I also serve as a Fellow with the California Climate Action Corps, where I engage in wildfire recovery efforts and lead community-based outreach programs in Paradise, CA. Previously, I worked as a Lead Field Technician for the NEON Project at Battelle, conducting standardized aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem surveys and managing large ecological datasets. I’ve also served as a Stream Restoration Technician at Anabranch Solutions, restoring meadows and riparian areas in the Sierra Nevada, and as a Student Manager at the University of Arkansas, where I built leadership and operational planning skills.Dedicated to conservation, community resilience, and data-driven science, I strive to support projects that protect environmental systems while serving the public. Outside of work, I foster rescue dogs through a North Texas nonprofit—an effort that continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of my life.
