Experienced investigator with a strong background in immuno-oncology and through knowledge of drug development process from target discovery to candidate selection. Activities- design, lead and deliver biological work packages to support the identification, validation and progression of novel targets- design and execute immune cell-based assays that recapitulate disease-relevant biology, with a particular focus on targets that modulate the role of B and T cells and other adaptive and innate immune cells in the tumour microenvironment- perform small/large scale CRISPR/Cas9 editing in primary immune cells and cell lines to answer key biological questions and validate novel targets - Coordinating in vitro/in vivo assay development with multiple platforms with the aim to support target validation, hit selection and lead selection
