ABOUT ANNALIESE LAMB
I\'m a digital leader specialising in user centred service design research with a variety of experience across industries, public sector departments and service channels. Currently leading user research with Schools at the Department for Education and previously at HM Land Registry, HMRC, MoJ and the NHS.I love to inspire, encourage and guide others to progress in their careers and offer coaching and mentoring to user researchers and individuals hoping to transition in to user research within the public sector. I thrive on supporting individuals, teams and organisations in designing and developing user centred services. My desire to create usable, engaging and helpful experiences based on research and data inspires and motivates me.Since completing my degree in Neuropsychology and Msc in Investigative Psychology I have focused my career around applying psychological principals within the digital world.I draw upon my experience to provide consultancy to businesses of all sizes (including Co-op Bank, Telefonica, HMRC, British Red Cross, local charities and SME\'s) in their endeavour to meet the ever expanding demand of the online world. By providing consultation and research services which are designed to help small businesses take the first step in making their digital offering more user centred and larger businesses to take the step to embed user research in house.I\'m excited by the emergence of voice activated AI and advancements in VR and AR meaning users are set to be increasingly emerged in their everyday experiences. I am constantly updating my knowledge in UCD and psychology to provide thought leadership to my teams. I\'m passionately interested in experimenting with varied approaches including; mindsets, future casting, positive behaviour change models and user centred policy design. My experience includes; mentoring and coaching, recruiting for and managing multi-disciplinary user centred design (UCD) teams, leading large programme teams of user researchers on complex and highly political government projects, assessing and applying Government service standards and ensuring research teams have the tools, collaboration, community and knowledge to conduct high quality research and design. In my spare time I like to salsa, ski, sculpt clay, read and travel.
