About Annalia Griese

I am currently a University of Michigan student in the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, pursuing a BA in Public Policy with a double-minor in International Studies and Law, Justice, and Social Change. My interest lies primarily in human rights and international policy, and I am driven to a career in public service by longstanding passion and a critical understanding of inequity and injustice—both of which inform my purpose to pursue tangible social change through policy. My professional experience in several legislative policy settings has yielded me critical experience in public service and skills in legislative research, policy analysis and writing, constituent outreach, and more. Further, my executive leadership positions on-campus have allowed me to develop my collaborative and organizational skills, while improving my editing and peer mentorship capabilities. Finally, consistent engagement in passion-driven volunteer work and activism have shaped how I successfully approach civic engagement and advocacy. These experiences have equipped me to analyze complex issues, develop strategic solutions, and ultimately contribute effectively to projects in both academic and professional settings. As I work towards law school and a future in public service, I am eager to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations striving to make an impact.
